Neil Evans’ guide to selling your home in Ringwood.
Neil Evans has lived in the Ringwood area for 40 years, so what he doesn’t know, isn’t worth knowing.
Here he gives us all the insider intelligence on selling your home in Ringwood.
If you’re not familiar with the area, Ringwood is an extremely popular market town nestled between the New Forest to the East, Bournemouth to the South and Ferndown to the West. A popular driving commuter town, in just 35 minutes you can be on the M3 headed for London.
What are the most popular types of homes in Ringwood?
It very much depends on the buyer! From Studio Flats to £5 million homes, you name it, Ringwood’s got it.
Location is really important for buyers, and luckily because of Ringwood’s compact nature, no matter where you are, you’re never too far from the town centre with it’s great mix of bars, restaurants and premium shops.
Being located near a school is really important, particularly around Poulner and Ringwood town centre.
And if you’re looking for something a little larger and spacious, Avon Castle, just outside of Ringwood is where to head.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned from selling homes in Ringwood over the years?
The diversity of clients I get to speak to on a daily basis, from speaking to first time buyers or those looking for something cost effective and located in the heart of the town centre to those looking for more space as their family expands. No two days are ever the same.
What’s the most common question you are asked?
Home Sellers are most interested in how much their home is worth and how much the fees are – and rightly so.
When asked “Why should I choose you over another agent”, my answer is always an easy one – especially when I can show off the data on their local area.
Being upfront about my fee, and transparent about what’s going on in the local market – and being able to actually show my clients is what I love most about my job, and working for MUVA.
I love being able to have meaningful conversations with my home sellers based on what’s going on right now in their local area.
How have you used the MUVA Platform to help your clients?
Handing over the insight that the agents have is fantastic! Taking away the ambiguity and helping my clients have faith in the information I’m telling them is most important, because they can see it for themselves. My role is to lend advice and help home sellers make informed decisions.
I love that the seller can see the hit rates on their property, and if something’s suddenly changed, they can see that maybe it’s because there’s a new property on the market!
Where are the most desirable streets?
Central Ringwood is always sought after – the selection of amenities and road transport links are great.
That said, most areas surrounding Ringwood Town Centre are within walking distance. It’s possible to buy a property with a bit more space but still be able to walk into town, which opens up the possibilities for both buyers and sellers, we find most people move within just a few miles!
As the centre and surrounding areas are quite mature in terms of homes available, we find any new build homes are snapped up, in many cases off-plan! Property developers take note!
In any case Ringwood homes don’t hang around for long. In fact MUVA’s last Ringwood listing sold in just 3 days, for the asking price.
Why should Ringwood Home Sellers Sell with you?
We’re offering something different to any other estate agent you’ve used before. We’re open and honest about what your home should sell for, and we want to sell your home as quickly as you do!
Homes in Ringwood listed with other agents have been reduced by over £26,000 this year. Homes listed with MUVA have sold quickly, and for asking price.
You’re a Ringwood Local, where are your favourite places in and around town?
Personally I’m passionate about supporting local businesses in Ringwood.
I really like the Farmer’s Market held at The Furlong each month, and can often be found in the Star or The Fish Inn of an evening.
